Immersion – What is Lost Will Be Returned – 4th Sept - LP// CD// D
Today, Immersion, share their new single & video We Don’t Need Your Validation. The track is the first single to be released from their album What Is Lost Will Return out September 4th
Similar to recent Immersion songs, We Don't Need Your Validation does not require a layer of knowing interpretation. It's direct. Malka and Colin have said; “It’s not about not needing validation from those you love but about seeking validation in all the wrong places, like we say in the song..."
We don’t need your validation. We don’t feel part of your nation
We won’t tick the box required. We don’t need to be admired
The upcoming album What Is Lost Will Return is the second "pure" Immersion release in as many years and heralds the third UK tour since 2024. It follows up 2025's WTF?? and the title reflects the fact that there's only so many times you can say “What The F*ck??” before looking beyond to see what endures. As Colin and Malka explain, "The emotion we feel the album invokes is a poignant mixture of joy and melancholy."
The album's five songs and three instrumentals exist in a post-genre world. Holy F*ck's Matt Schulz's drumming is strongly featured on most of the tracks - with AK/DK's Ed Chivers making a guest appearance drumming on “Breaking Free, Diversity, Evolution”.
Although “We Don't Need Your Validation” and “Radio Signals” were part of the 2025 UK tour set, early versions of which were released on an exclusive lathe cut 7" only available at the shows and via mail order, the rest of the album was written, recorded and mixed between January and April 2026.

Recently our mail order team found a bunch of stock left over from when we moved from Posteverything to State51. It’s all well out print and none of the releases has ever been listed for mail order sale by us. Most of this catalogue is not available on streaming services as, unlike many record companies, we did not assume the fact that we released a record meant we owned the music in perpetuity. By their very nature these stocks are very limited and we won't manufacture these items again….
